    About ZIET Mysuru

    The ZIET Mysore is one of the 05 ZIETs of KVS and caters basically to the South Zone. This institute focuses on the training of KVS staff especially Teachers from the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu & U.T s of Puducherry . However Training and In-service course for Teachers/staff from all over India are also organised. This was the third Training Institute and was established in April 2004. The ZIET Mysore is built on a campus of approximately 5 acres with latest technology and sufficient rooms to train about hundred teachers/staff members simultaneously. The Institute has facility for stay and food for participants in the Campus during training.

    • New Textbooks & CBE (April): Orientation for TGTs on new textbooks focusing on Competency-Based Education (6 workshops, 30 total offline days).
    • PGT Subject Review (May & June): Six-subject Student Support Material review in May and concept clarity training (Commerce, Biology, History, Geography) in June.
    • Mental Health Workshops (May–July): Focused well-being programs for Principals, Vice Principals, and effective teaching staff.
    • Vocational & Science Training (July): Vocational education for TGT (WE) and experiential/competency-based Physics teaching for TGT (Science).
    • Balvatika Training (July onwards): Online training for 500 Balvatika Teachers and a Master Trainers program for HMs (July–August).
    • ICT & Digital Tools (August): AI and e-Granthalaya library service enhancement, followed by effective ICT usage in Hindi (August–September).
    • Primary & Creative Learning (September–December): Joyful activity-based learning for PRTs (September), followed by music (November) and art (December) experiential learning.
    • Wellness & Leadership (Jan–March): Sports, Yoga, and Wellness curriculum integration (TGT P&HE), and instructional leadership training for Primary Head Masters.
