1. Whether KVS has its own training Institutes?

Ans: Yes, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has 5 Zonal Institutes of Education and Training (ZIET).

2. What are the broad aims of In-service Education & Training?

Ans: Capacity building and change in attitude of the employees of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan with a mission to meet the needs of the time and to face the coming challenges.

3. How many ZIETs are functional and at which places?

Ans: Presently, five ZIETs are functional at Mysuru, Mumbai, Gwalior, Chandigarh and Bhubaneswar.

4. What is the mandate of ZIET in the field of training and education?

Ans: The main mandate of ZIET is to help develop professional competence of different employees of Teaching and NON-Teaching cadres working in KVS. To fulfil the mandate, ZIET has been conducting workshops and refresher courses every year and the In-Service courses as per the Guidelines provided by KVS HQ.

5. Whether KVS imparts training to its employees through other agencies?

Ans: Yes, if required, KVS employees are deputed to attend training programmes conducted by Govt. Institutes, agencies empanelled by CBSE, NCERT NABET, ISTM and other agencies approved by the competent authority.

9. Whether Hostel Facility is available in ZIET Mysuru?

Ans: Yes, Hostel facility is available on twin sharing basis subject to availability.

10. Can a KVS employee book a room in hostel for his personal/Official visit to Mysuru?

Ans: Yes, they can but with prior approval of competent authority and subject to availability in hostel on payment basis.

11. Can an outside employee (other than KVS) participate in the workshop conducted at ZIET?

Ans: Yes, as per norms with the prior registration and approval of The Director ZIET Mysuru.

12. Can a participant bring his/her family member with him/her during the workshop/course?

Ans: No, participants are not allowed to bring their family members during the courses or workshops except in the case where it is necessary .e.g. the attendant with a disabled candidate or in case of any emergency with the approval of Deputy Commissioner and Director ZIET Mysuru only. The family member and attendants have to pay the rent and food charges as per norms specified.
